Special Men in My Life
Thanksgiving Turkey
the old fashioned way of getting our bird.
Choosing a Tom from the flock was a real adventure.
Some of these birds weighed 30 pounds.
I only needed a 24 pounder
Yes, this is the right size.
We took three. One for now and two for later...they are waiting.
Dipping in hot water, then in the spinner to remove the feathers.
Butchering them just right.
Almost ready for our
Thanksgiving Dinner.
With all our company and all the excitement on Thanksgiving Day...we fail to take a picture of our roasted turkey...so I found one on public domain similar to ours.
Guests From Far and Near
November brought many guests our way
Mom and Dad Hillis from Florida
The Newlyweds from South Dakota
Nathanael and Jesharelah
Ashlyn and her Mommy and Daddy from
Swanzey, NH
Scott and Susanna MacPhail
Cousins...Abigail and Ashlyn
The Galla Family from Newtown, CT
Sisters, both with child.
Tabitha Pena from Walpole, NH
We had many more overnight and day guests from Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire without pictures...but...
We give the Lord thanks for them all.
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 136:1
