Ice Festival

The annual Keene Ice-Festival was held the February 7th. It was a beautiful day…not as cold as in past years…but still cold enough to keep the ice solid. We watched several artists sculpturing the ice blocks into interesting forms; animals, business signs, planes, etc. Ice Artists come in from all over New England. Many of them make their living by sculpturing for hotels and resorts. Many people come down to Main Street to watch the artist, get hot foods and sweets at the concession stands on the walkways. A men's Barbershop group sing in the town common's gazebo. We enjoyed spending the afternoon watching and going in and out of some of the shops.

Snow Artist took large mounds of snow and form many creations including; bunnies, snow angels, houses, slides, and four wheelers.

Where else could you do this except in New Hampshire!!!!
