Lydia has been looking for ways to serve over the last year or two.
The Lord has given her an opportunity on the other side of the world from us--
Japan.
Our friends the Wilhite's called a couple weeks past asking if
one of the girls
would want to help them for three months.
This wasn't exactly how Lydia thought of serving -- but she was
IS
willing to go and help the Wilhite Family.
This missionary family is a bit like ours--
but opposite.
They have 8 boys and 1 girl--
with the 10th arriving in June!
We will be missing her.
But we are excited!
Very excited!

  1. Hello, dear Penas! I "happened" to open your blog tonight and see that Lydia is going to Japan. We recently started attending a Baptist church in Hillsboro that supports the Wilhites. Because of their family size and the fact that they were in Japan (which we have felt burdened for because of all the trouble there from the tsunami/earthquake/power plant troubles, etc.) we have been praying for them, tho we have never met them. Small world! Does Lydia need anything for her trip? Do you know if there are things the Wilhites could use/Lydia would be able to take?
God's peace and blessings to you,
    Shera Camuso
